With over 30 years’ experience in growing kiwifruit, we apply our orchard, processing and logistics expertise to an expanding range of fresh produce.
Orchard experience & technical expertise
Our local experts are out under the canopy in all major growing areas (Bay of Plenty, Hawkes Bay, Coromandel and Northland).
Our shelter, soil, vine, tree, crop management experience and science based technical resources maximise production of avocados, kiwiberry and all kiwifruit varieties, and includes growing organics.
We offer professional orchard management services to growers – from help completing seasonal tasks and industry Health and Safety requirements, through to full management and orchard development. Services are flexible and tailored for individual orchards and lifestyles, working to a yield driven management plan.
Seeka’s independent horticulture laboratory, Verified Lab Services (VLS) provides the industry with fruit maturity, pest monitoring and cool store testing.
Post-harvest support
When crops are ready for harvest, we grade the fruit before packing and cool storing it in our high capacity sites. Our post-harvest team uses the latest packhouse and cool chain technology to minimise costs and maximise the quality of orchard produce.
Seeka’s advanced inventory management and strict quality controls ensure produce arrives to market in top condition.
Governance by growers
Seeka’s performance is monitored by separate companies, Seeka Growers Limited (kiwifruit and kiwiberry) and AvoFresh Limited (avocados). These entities independently oversee growers’ financial returns and ensure accountability and transparency.
