Each wing has spacious living areas where friends and family can come together; residents can access Apple TV, and music is available via Wi-Fi and iPods. There are also iPads available for short-term use, so residents can Skype with family or friends, browse the Internet, or play online games.
Pets are always welcome and the resident cat, Mister, is always happy to receive some attention. The men’s club recently built outdoor garden beds, which are now home to regular vegetable growing competitions.
It’s important to staff at Lexham Park that residents have an active participation in local community events, so regular outings as well as visits from local schools and entertainers play an important part in the social calendar. Residents are encouraged to continue enjoying their passions and interests while living in residential care.
Bedrooms are filled with natural light, are temperature-controlled, with a call button and television points. Individual rooms can be decorated to personal choice and we encourage residents to bring their favourite possessions to help personalise their room and make the space their own.
