Chartered November 1970, Katikati Lions has remained one of the main service clubs in the area. Katikati Lions sponsors the Annual Christmas Parade, Lone Diners, Lions Cancer Lodge (Hamilton), as well as many other groups and organisations in the area.
The Lions Club of Katikati is offering a scholarship to Year 12 and 13 students at Katikati College who are leaving at the end of the year to pursue tertiary education and a scholarship to those entering a trade. The Lion's motto says, “We Serve”. Community-mindedness is an important part of the application criteria.
Our main fundraising is our monthly Garage Sale on the 4th Saturday of each month, as well as the Lions Katikati Community Directory.
The Lions Club of Katikati has always been regarded as a very social club with a membership of 40+ and we welcome visitors, whether just passing through or anyone who may be interested in joining our club.
