OUR EVENTS

The awards are delivered through a partnership between Katikati & Waihī Beach Excellence Awards organizers Katch Katikati and Waihī Beach Events & Promotions with support from local sponsors and the Western Bay of Plenty District Council.

They highlight:

• Local businesses that excel in service, innovation, and growth.
• Community groups and organisations that make a positive impact.
• Sports clubs and individuals achieving outstanding results.
• Volunteers and community champions who contribute to local wellbeing.
• Emerging entrepreneurs and long-standing local enterprises.

The 2026 awards were held on 3 September 2026 at Fairview Golf & Country Club in Katikati. The event featured guest speakers including Nadia Lim, along with local leaders from business, community, and sport. There were 121 nominations across 11 categories, showcasing the breadth of talent and community spirit in the region. 

The awards are designed to:

• Recognise local achievement.
• Encourage business and community excellence.
• Strengthen connections across the Katikati and Waihī Beach communities.
• Promote pride in the region and its people.
