Organised by Katch Katikati, the local community create Christmas Trees from recycled materials which are then displayed at The Arts Junction during December.
Tree entries are judged and awarded prizes.
The 2023 event: The annual competition is back this year with a twist - entries must be designed for outdoor display with an extra focus on lights. There are cash prizes up for grabs for originality, creativity and use of recycled materials. Start getting creative now because the festive season will be here before you know it! OPENING NIGHT
Competition entries in the Katikati Upcycled Christmas Tree Competition will be on display at a special opening event on Thursday 14th December at 7pm outside The Arts Junction, where the community is invited to explore the works of art, crafted from recycled materials by our talented community members.
The family-friendly event promises festive music, enchanting glow fairies and roving entertainers, craft and food vendors and more to celebrate the spirit of the season under starry skies.
Inside The Arts Junction enjoy a magical festive journey at Santa's Grotto.
Free event - all welcome to this family friendly event.
Trees will be on display until 24th December.
